This patio heater should only be used by a competent adult who has read and understood these instructions before use.
Always turn off the heater when not in use. Never leave the heater turned on while unattended.It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure all necessary precautions are taken to safeguard against the risk of fire and injury.
The safe use of hired gas equipment is the sole responsibility of the hirer once the items are collected or arrive on site. Allens’ staff are not allowed to install equipment on site and you are not permitted to make any alterations to the appliance or its connectors in any way.
Never use the equipment in a poorly ventilated space. Keep all children, animals and bystanders away from the work area. Ensure the floor of the work area is free from trip hazards and non-slip.
Instructions for Use
- Ensure the heater gas control knob is in the OFF position.
- Use separate instructions to connect the LPG cylinder to this appliance.
- Once connected, turn the Patio Heater on by depressing the gas control knob and turning it anti-clockwise to the pilot position
- Keep the knob depressed, hold it in position for 15 seconds (45 sec if fitting a new gas cylinder).
- With the knob still depressed operate the spark igniter by turning the knob back to OFF and to the pilot position 2 or 3 times until you see the flame, when visible through the inspection window.
- Keep the knob depressed for 30 sec.
- Release the knob and check that the pilot remains alight, if not repeat.
- To turn the heater on turn the knob anti-clockwise to the full flame position.
To turn the outdoor heater off
- Turn the gas control knob clockwise to the pilot position
- Depress the knob and turn to the OFF position
- Turn OFF the gas supply and follow instructions for disconnection.
